Obituary of Margaret B. Vangalio

Margaret B. Vangalio, age 90, of Geneseo, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the Wyoming County Community Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel and son Michael Vangalio.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne Vangalio of Geneseo, daughter in law, Judith Vangalio, grandchildren, Joseph (Mckenzie) Vangalio, Emma (Jordan) Nowak of OH, great grandson, Lincoln Michael Nowak all of OH, sisters, Gertrude Penepent of Batavia, Roseann (Ray) Mayo of Geneseo, sister in law, Carolyn (Norm) Kilbourne of Brockport, special friends, Lynn and Wes Kennison of Geneseo, several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was born September 30, 1929 in Mt. Morris, NY the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Palermo Bellanca. She was a Graduate of Geneseo High School, earned her Bachelor's Degree and her Master's Degree in Library Science from SUNY Geneseo. Margaret was a teacher at the Holcomb School and retired from Geneseo Central School as a librarian. She was a member of the Geneseo Garden Club, APOG, Young at Heart and the Monday Evening Class. She was a longtime member of Livingston Country Club and St. Mary's Church both in Geneseo.

Due to COVID-19 there will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Geneseo at a date and time to be announced. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
