My deepest condolences to the family of Jean Pearsall Schmidt upon her passing. I worked for three years with Jean and her husband Walter at their business H.P. Walter Company (named for their sons Hugh, Paul and Walter III) in Buffalo, NY. While president of the Buffalo Audubon Society, I often saw Jean at the society's Beaver Meadow Audubon Center.
