Obituary of John F. D'Onofrio

John F. D'Onofrio PhD, age 76, of Geneseo, died Friday, November 16, 2018 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Elsie D'Onofrio. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Rudolph D'Onofrio, his beloved son, Nicholas D'Onofrio of Geneseo, brother, Dominic (Eleanor) D'Onofrio of Gloversville, NY, mother-in-law, Marianne Rudolph of Conesus, sisters in law, Debora (Raymond) Donohue of Conesus, Paula (Mark) Greenman of Lakeville, Diane Eades of Conesus, brothers in law, John (Margaret) Rudolph of Conesus, Mark (Kris) Rudolph of Honeoye, many nieces and nephews. John was born July 18, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Joseph and Elsie Mary Sisco D'Onofrio. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Utica College and his PhD in Philosophy from Syracuse University. Dr. D'Onofrio was a retired Physics Teacher at Geneseo Central School and a Philosophy Professor at SUNY Geneseo. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 7 PM with Lucille Kane officiating. Interment will be Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
