I just saw the news of AL's death. I am very sad. He is a very honest and humorous person. I know him in 2008, and then we stopped contacting.

Al was a very important person in my life. He was so loyal and dedicated to his friends from long ago; he kept many of us connected to himself and to one another. He kept alive our memories and experiences. Al’s accomplishments were so amazing throughout his life; a truly self-made man who was exteemely intelligent and hardworking. I admired him so much.
My sincere condolences to his beloved family.
Al was one of my dearest friends. I miss him.

Al will be missed by many people who knew him in numerous capacities throughout the years. Al and I go back to the late 1960s and early 1970s when, as an undergraduate, I was president of the college veterans organization (Geneseo Veterans Club). Over the years we are both rivals and friends and shared mutual thoughts and experiences after I joined the SUNY Geneseo history department as an adjunct in 2001. I only wish I had had a chance to say goodbye to Al as the last time we spoke was just before he retired from Geneseo. Rest in peace my good friend.

Bronwyn and Reese,
I am truly sorry for your loss. He was a nice and generous person and always had a smile on his face, even after a hard day at work. Many fond memories of Al picking the two of you up at the day care in Geneseo. Please accept my sincere condolences.

My brother "Butch" is dearly loved by his Sister Pamela Anne Sciarrino and Bill "Billy Sciarrino. I love you with all my heart Butch and I know you loved us too. I will always cherish the memories of us growing up. Especially how our mother would tell the story of how us being just a hyear apart whenever someone would give you candy or ice cream when we were small you would always say "One for my Sisser". I am so glad to have a lock of your hair to treasure always, along with the lock of our mothers. " Goodnight Sweet Prince"

Please accept my condolences. Your dad always made my day when he was on campus. He would engage with his students and sometimes play piano in the college union, creating an enjoyable ambiance for me and others around him! I know he touched many lives, and I am grateful for his friendship.
