October 10, 2017-reposting 11/14/18
Hello, my name is Tabetha Johnston of Buffalo, NY. My husbands' name is Andrew. I know this might seem strange to post on an obituary and we are most likely not related. I thought it might bring you a little comfort knowing your loved ones name lives on. Our son was born 4/30/17 and we named him Emerson James Johnston. Praise be with you and your family. My sympathies to Emerson's entire family, loved ones and friends. I came to know him years ago volunteering for what we called the " Bread run" From Wegmans to local food pantries... We had a lot of laughs.
He was kind, generous, thoughtful man.
I am thankful for the time I knew him ... & I will always remember him.

Great Grandpa was such a sweet and caring man. Always in a good mood and happy to see any visitor enter his home. My favorite memory of him was that he always had a "surprise" stick of gum in his pocket shirt everytime my brothers, cousins and I saw him. My condolences to Great Grandma, Grandma Bing and her siblings, Eric and Aunt Stacey

Dear Mrs. Johnston, Lenny, Alma, Norma and Jim,
So sorry to hear that Emerson has passed away. I remember when he would
come to our house to collect for Prudential Ins. One night when I was young, my
parents had to take my Sally to the Dr. for an emergency injury, your Dad came
to collect, I was upset and told him what had happened. He stayed with me until
my parents came back home. I have never forgotten his kindness and concern.
He will be missed by many, and always remembered with fond memories.
Prayers for your family for your loss,
Pete and Janet
