I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Betty when she started at Casual Corner. I was her assistant manager. She was always so poised and sophisticated. She had a flare for style and many customers that seemed to follow her from store to store. She was such a great lady whom I respected and learned so much from. She will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mary Ellen, Dean & Family,
I was so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was an amazing lady, and I was so honored to have known her and be her dentist. My thoughts are with all of you at this most difficult time.

Aunt Betty was the finest real lady I have had the pleasure of not only being related to, but calling my friend. She never said a mean word about anyone, however deserving! lol. She would make herself available whenever she thought someone might have need of her. She walked and talked regally, while being right here in the 'real world'. I remember my Mother being intimidated by her the first time she encountered Aunt Betty because Aunt Betty was so poised and she dressed so beautifully. Mom got to be a fan very quickly once she sat down and talked with her - she was so charming, poised, and obviously very loving. Aunt Betty was the first person to welcome me into the family, and I never forgot that, and have always been so grateful that this fine lady and her husband (Uncle Ray) made me feel part of the family, inviting us to family gatherings for both her side and Uncle Ray's side of the family. Through her we (Chip and I) have shared family moments when we couldn't physically be there. And we now have some of our best friends in the family - her daughter Mary Ellen and husband Dean, and the AZ cousins - our extended family is so enriching and warm, we feel lucky to be part of this family. And all this is thanks to Aunt Betty.
Whenever I needed to talk, to share information, or run something by someone, it was Aunt Betty - she was a good listener and would laugh with me (and sometimes at me!) and always made me feel better for having shared with her. With my Mom having passed on in 2007, Aunt Betty became even more of a confidant. I love and miss Aunt Betty.
She also, had, unbelievably, the best and sharpest mind of the family through her entire life. Whenever we needed to remember a person or a time or place, we'd just contact Aunt Betty, and wah-lah - she would come up with the answer. I wonder who we will go to for answers now........ hugs to the family and prayers for Aunt Betty whom is now with Uncle Ray and in a joyful place. xxoo

Betty was a beautiful person inside and out. She was one of the matriarch of our family, and will be truly missed. Although missed I am sure she is enjoying seeing all of her cousins that have passed before her. Family is everything....

I remember growing up and getting letters and cards from Betty and Ray. As I grew older Betty and I still exchanged letters and spent time catching up at the family reunions.
Betty was an amazing woman with a big heart and gentle soul. Betty will be missed and I know she is looking over us.

I distinctly remember always thinking how beautiful Aunt Betty was and how fashionable- never a hair out of place. She was such a proud soul and a woman I thought of more as a grandmother than a Great Aunt. I'm so thankful I was lucky enough to have her in my life and so close. We will miss her and that laugh of hers so much.
