Obituary of Alfred M. Dietrich III

Alfred M. Dietrich III, age 72, of West Lake Rd. in Geneseo, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at his residence. He was predeceased by his sister, Ellen (John) Healy, parents, Dr. Alfred M. Dietrich and Dorothy M. Dietrich, who were longtime residents of Geneseo. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Satter Dietrich, daughter, Emily Dietrich of Rochester, brother, Robert (Patricia) Dietrich of Shrewsbury, MA, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Al was born May 27, 1944 in Dover, DE the son of Alfred and Dorothy Baker Dietrich Jr. He was a US Vietnam Navy Veteran. Al graduated from Batavia High School, earned his Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Rochester and Master's Degree in School Business Administration from SUNY Brockport. He was a member of the Conesus Lake Association's Board of Directors and the Geneseo Central School Board of Education. Al was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo and was active in the Veterans Outreach Programs. He was an avid sailor, fly fisherman and skier. No prior calling hours. His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Edward Dillon and Father Thomas Statt officiating.
