Heather,
I am sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. We had lovely conversations about her life and family when I was working on the Twidale history. She was very kind, generous and shared great stories with me. My thoughts prayers are with you, Amy and your father. Love from Kate “Kitty” Twidale family.

Dear Heather, Bruce and Nick,
I remember several times when Heather's mom would come and visit your home in Rosewalk. Heather was always very excited about her arrival and was rushing around getting the house together. I really appreciated the moments when we were invited up for tea and visited. She was a quiet and kind soul. Her heart was big and she loved you all so very much.
My love and thoughts are with you. Loss is a powerful teacher and I feel fortunate getting to know her and being with you in Rosewalk. What great memories and we always think of you!
Much love,
Comer, Claudia and Jeff

I'm sorry I never had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Twidale but I spoke to her over the phone several times during Heather's tenue with our organization. She never failed to ask how I was doing and to wish me good thoughts. Ultimately our conversation centered on Nicholson whom she loved and adored with all of her heart. Heather and Amy, what a blessing to be the daughters of such a caring and charming mother.

We are very sorry to hear the news about Aunt Jean. Her bright smile and warm welcome will be missed by all. Our families shared some wonderful times over the years in Toronto and Geneseo. My Mom and my sisters and I enjoyed a party with the Twidale clan at Mount Morris 2 years ago. Sending love and hugs during this difficult time.

I will always picture Aunt Jean with a beautiful smile on her face. I am so glad that the Fullbrook clan and the Twidale clan were able to get together and enjoy a happy party two years ago. I don't think Mom can quite take in that she has now lost both of her sisters. Aunt Jean was very interested in her grandson and all of her grand nephews and loved getting pictures of them at Christmas. Not only did she pass on a legacy of love for her family, but she also passed on her love of cats! I understand that my cat Seth had a prominent place on her family bulletin board! We will miss our Aunt Jean, and send our love to Uncle Frank, Heather and Amy.

Dear family and loved ones,
My heart goes out to you all. Though I never met her, I know through Heather's beautiful heartfelt words that Jean was a wonderful person, so loving and so loved. She is dearly missed.
I wish you peace and comfort. Give the overwhelming to God. God is with you and will take care of you, giving you strength and support. Take moments to care for yourself: deep breaths, rest, water, and nourishment. Melt into the support that others will provide.
Her spirit and love lives on in sunsets, in stars, in each of you.
With all my love and deepest sympathy,
Amy

To the family: I was just speaking to Mabel on the telephone a few moments ago, and I read to her Jean's obituary and the arrangements details. She dictated what she wanted to say in her memorial, and I sent it along. But she forgot one thing, and I thought it would be appropriate to mention it at this time. She had a little picture of herself, Jean and Kyle on her night table in the nursing home, and one day this past December, she showed it to Kylene (my daughter) and said that she would love to have that picture enlarged. Kylene sneaked into her room while Mabel was at lunch, had her fiance scan the picture, restored it beautifully, and they presented it to Mabel on Christmas Day. She was thrilled.
So even though they were miles apart and hadn't seen each other for years, she was and always will be in Mabel's thoughts.
My sympathy to all the family, Thelma

We all were shocked to hear of Jean's passing. I have many memories of her and her sisters when they were young. Jean stayed with Kyle, Sr. and I when she attended Whitney School in Sydney, Nova Scotia many years ago. She and Ruth were a delight to have staying with us, and we had lots of fun. They were such beautiful young girls, and just as nice. In recent years, I enjoyed our long telephone conversations.
I know she will be sadly missed by Frank, the girls, and also Ruth. Give my love to everyone. May she rest in peace. Sincerely, your sister-in-law Mabel MacKillop and family.

I remember all the spring trips we took to Aunt Jean and Frank's home on our way to Toronto. I loved all the different levels of the house and staying overnight downstairs. Aunt Jean was a gracious host and I still remember her strawberry gelatin salad. I also recall the trips to Cape Cod and sitting on the beach wall listening to stories of growing up in such a small town in Nova Scotia. I have faith that she is with her family in heaven and visiting with tea and goodies. God Bless.

It is so sad to see another one of my mother's siblings go. I miss my mom greatly as I know you do yours.
I can still remember traveling from Toronto to Geneseo when I was only 6 or 7 years old. My sister and I playing with you and your sister in the fields behind your house. Your parents and mine always in the background watching us.
Best wishes,
John McBirnie

Although I never had the pleasure to meet Jean, I can tell that she was a kind, gentle, caring, loving person whom everybody adore. There is no question that these good qualities have passed down to Heather, my good old friend. Jean must be very proud of her family and she lived a full and joyful life.Jean is now by the Lord's side, enjoying eternal peace and happiness. She will be greatly missed by everyone who loves her.

Among my happiest early childhood memories are those of my family and me going down from Toronto to visit Aunt Jean, Uncle Frank, and Heather and Amy. Aunt Jean was always there with a warm welcome. In later years, I moved further afield, but I always looked forward to returning for a visit. After a hug and a smile, I knew the world was ok after all. I will miss you Aunt Jean - thank you for everything.
