Obituary of Shirley A. McNally

Shirley A. McNally, age 74, of Second St. in Geneseo, died Monday, January 5, 2015 at her residence. She was predeceased by her brother, Karl Mallette. She is survived by her husband, James, son, Andrew (Vanessa) McNally of Poughkeepsie, NY, daughter, Laura (John) Fasick of Lima, grandchildren, Alison, Abigail, and Emily McNally, Alexander Obenhofer and Aaron Fasick, sister, Patricia (Daniel) Dickinson of Watertown, NY, brothers, Rodney (Joyce) Mallette of FL, Michael (Carol) Mallette of AL, several nieces and nephews. Shirley was born June 6, 1940 in Gouverneur, NY the daughter of Karl and Eleanor Wells Mallette. She was a graduate of Gouverneur Central School, SUNY Potsdam and earned her Master's Degree at SUNY Geneseo. Shirley taught at the Holcomb Campus School in Geneseo, Geneseo Central School, Livonia Central School and was an Adjunct Humanities Professor at SUNY Geneseo. She was a longtime and active member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo. Friends may call Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo.
