Obituary of James H. Fraser

James H. Fraser, age 87, of MacIntyre Rd. in York, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at his residence. He is survived by his children, Sharon, Melanie Sue, Scott, Heather Jean and Andrew, sister, Betty Maynes of NJ, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jim was born January 17, 1927 in Rochester, NY the son of Alexander James and Alice Hall Fraser. He was a 1949 Graduate of Cornell University School of Agriculture in Ithaca, NY where he was active in their Alumni, Fraternity and Agriculture Honor Society Activities. He was a self-employed farmer for many years on MacIntyre Rd in York and also worked as a Law Firm Investigator. Longtime member of Mendon Presbyterian Church, Jim was active in the Men's Fellowship, Bible Study Classes, and mission and outreach actives. During the last year he was honored by The Open Door Mission of Rochester for 60 years of voluntary service. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2014 at 11 AM at the Mendon Presbyterian Church, 936 Cheese Factory Rd. and Route 64 in Mendon with Rev. David L. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Rochester. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mendon Presbyterian Church, PO Box 188, Mendon, NY 14506 or the Rochester Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Rd., Rochester, NY 14619.
