My deepest sympathy to Shelby's family. I knew Shelby (& Gerry) for more than 30 years. I first met them at FDR's and had lots of fun times there, at their house, at cabin parties and road trips with GRAFT. It was always fun to hear her stories over the cocktail hours. We heard a lot about her grandkids as she was ever so proud of them and her sons. She will be missed! Cheers Shelby!

Shelby was a much beloved client of The Gem Lab for many years starting with my father Joe, in downtown Rochester and she followed us right out to Henrietta 34 years ago. With the exception of our newest employees, EVERYONE here knew Shelby's name the moment she walked in. She truly enjoyed her jewelry. Simple, fancy, classic, elegant. She loved it all. Shelby was someone that WE truly enjoyed working with. Her excitement was infectious. The trust she put in was the best compliment we could ever receive. Shelby, we will miss you.

Chris, Marc and all of Shelby's family, I am so sorry to learn of her passing. She was not only a favorite teacher of mine, always prodding me to do better, but also an exemplary human being, full of knowledge, class, elegance and good taste.
It was babysitting you guys on Northview Drive that I was first exposed to beautiful antiques, that has since become a lifelong collecting habit of mine.
Shelby definitely left her mark on Geneseo, and a huge student body, who will always remember and treasure having had her in our lives. May her spirit forever be with you.

We have known Shelby for over 30 years, and her courage surpassed many while dealing with health issues. She was never one to give up. She became a part of our family when her loving husband passed. Regardless of retirement, Shelby continued to teach, and was a wise sage to those who sought her counsel. We miss her already, yet our memories of our times together will remain. At last, Shelby is reunited with Gerry whom she dearly loved and missed.
