I am so glad that I got to know Bert in the past year serving on the history committee of St. Michael's. Bert was a wealth of information about St. Michael's and it was her idea to ask the congregation to share their memories of St. Mike's for the past 25 years in celebration of St. Mike's 200th anniversary. What a gift she gave in keeping St. Mike's history alive for many, many years. I loved hearing her stories about life at St. Mike's and about her life as well. I will miss her company in many different ways and I will especially miss her infectious smile. I send blessings to her family whom I know are missing her in myriad ways. God speed, dear, dear Bert, God speed.
