Obituary of Robert D. Aprile

Robert D. "Benny" Aprile, age 73, of Geneseo, died Thursday, October 30, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Josephine Aprile, brothers, Joseph and Richard Aprile. He is survived by his sister, Diane (Richard) Campfield of Geneseo, brothers: Ronald Aprile of Geneseo, Charles Aprile of Avon, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Robert was born July 22, 1940 in Dansville, NY the son of Charles and Josephine Cipriano Aprile. He owned and operated the Cresco Laundromat in Geneseo for many years and was employed as a bartender at the Vital Spot in Geneseo at one time. Benny was an avid sports fan. Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 1-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Geneseo Parish Outreach Center, 4520 Genesee St., Geneseo, NY 14454 or Catholic Charities of Livingston County, 10 Chapel St., Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
