Obituary of Christine D. Thompson

Christine D. Thompson, age 73, of Geneseo, died Friday, November 1, 2019 at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Helen Dempsey Jr., sister, Penny Dempsey and brother, Robert Dempsey.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas of Geneseo, daughter, Elizabeth Thompson of Batavia, brother, William (Arlene) Dempsey of NV, sister in law, Margaret Dempsey of Batavia, brother in law, John (Cindy) Thompson of Olean, mother in law, Mary Thompson of FL, aunt, Ruth Davis of Batavia, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Christine was born December 5, 1945 in Rochester, NY, the daughter of William and Helen Webb Dempsey Jr. She was an Elementary Teacher for Wheatland-Chili Central School District before her retirement. Chris was active in the local Girl Scouts Organization and a Livingston County Historian. She was a long time member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Memorial Services will be held on November 6, 2019 at 11 AM at the Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Nancy Lowmaster officiating. Interment will be in the Central Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden.
