Obituary of Samuel G. Cuccia

Samuel G. Cuccia, age 92, of San Diego, CA, formerly of Geneseo, entered into eternal life to join his beloved wife, Lorraine, on September, 19, 2013, following her by 9 years and 1 day. Sam loved his family, who meant the world to him. He also loved playing cards with his poker buddies and watching sports. Sam made friends everywhere he went. He is survived by his children, Angela (Mark) Elfman of San Diego, CA, Paula Nicholson of Florida, Toni Lynn (Jim) Cunningham of North Carolina, Valerie (Ron) Gleason of Victor, Tina (Tim) Hancy of Piffard, Samuel (Kelli) Cuccia of Texas, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sisters, Jean Pisa-Wolenschlager of Williamsville, Antoinette Williams of Silver Creek, NY, nieces, nephews and many friends. Sam was born August 19, 1921 in Silver Creek, NY the son of Anthony and Angeline Nocera Cuccia. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Sam was retired from Sabin Metal Corporation in Scottsville where he was employed as a Certified Welder. Friends may call Friday, September 27, 2013 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 28, at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd.in Geneseo with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
