So many memories with her, it would be difficult for a non-relative to sum up in a simple paragraph.
She was also predecesed by her niece Katie Keane of Frisco, CO.
Carol loved photography and capturing memorable moments for her family. She always reminded me of how she took my newborn photos and graduation photos, and all the holidays and family gatherings throughout my lifetime.
She had a love for traveling and made her mom's dreams come true when she retired and the two of them traveled the world together. Visiting places like Hawaii, Germany and Sweden. She was able to travel the country and see her nieces wed in Colorado, travel with her sister Janice to Jamaica and her sister Bonnie to California. Spending her winters in Florida, she enjoyed walking the Boardwalk each morning and having family visit.
Carol loved sports, especially Syracuse football and basketball. She was a true fan and attended every home game she could. She, her mom and friends would fly out of state for Bowl games whenever Syracuse was playing.
Carol, though not traditionally religous, loved the holidays. Her house was always decorated for Christmas early - trees, garland, lights. She would say every year how she wished she could keep her decorations up longer. Christmas with our family was always magical and exciting. Everyone coming to Cazenovia to be together. She loved spending time with her mom, sisters, nieces and nephews. Shortly after Christmas she would begin planning the family summer Adirondack vacations. She made it a priority and tradition to have the family spend time in the Adirondacks each year. Her mom, Bunny Fisk, grew up in the Adirondacks, and it brought joy to both of them to pass on the joy that region brings.
Labor Day Weekend was a special time for Carol and her family. Each year we would get together in Old Forge for the weekend. Everyone looked forward to the annual "summer farewell", watching the fireworks.
Even after retiring, Carol always spoke of her teaching days with such joy. She had kept many cards and drawings from her students.

I was shocked and saddened when I learned of Carol's passing. Nearly 50 years ago Peggy and I had some very good times visiting Carol and Dave at their house trailer. I will always remember her smile and laugh. My sincerest condolences to the Fisks.
