I met Gary when we were in the Air Force together. We had the same MOS (occupation) and became friends easily. We were first stationed in Okinawa and Gary was there about 6 months before me. Gary was shipped back before me but we both ended up in New Mexico. Our squadron had new planes (the F4 Phantom) and needed to be "combat ready". As soon as this happened we were given orders to ship out to Vietnam. We were sent to two different locations as they split our squadron, but we kept in touch -mostly by mail. We both got discharged upon returning from Vietnam. We kept in touch over the years and he came to visit me once. I always liked and respected Gary. He was one of the good guys and I miss him... till we get stationed together again again buddy....RIP Doug Lefever

Your Dad and Brother was a great person. He was so full of fun and energy. We always had a great time at the family reunions or any other parties that we attended. He will be greatly missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
