Obituary of Steven C. Copeland

Steven C. Copeland, age 68, of York, died Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Violet Copeland.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacey (Joe) Laurie of Nunda and her mother, Laura Elam of Batavia, grandchildren, Steven and Joseph Copeland, Brittani Soles, great granddaughter, Arianna Soles, siblings, Sandra Copeland, Dennis (Lynn) Copeland, Laurie (Bill) Peete all of York, many nieces and nephews.

Steven was born May 21, 1950 in Warsaw, NY the son of Joseph MacIntyre Copeland and Violet Jean Turner Copeland. He worked for AKZO Nobel Salt Mine in Retsof and retired from American Rock Salt in Mt. Morris. Steven was also a former member of the York Fire Department.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 2-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Memorial Services will follow visitation at 4 PM with Rev. Michelle Sumption officiating.
