Obituary of Charles F. Elam

Charles F. Elam, age 90, of East Lake Rd. in Livonia, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his residence. He was predeceased by his daughter, Laura Dent in 2017 and grandson, Michael Charles Dent in 2018.

He is survived by his wife, Norma, children, Deborah (Jack) Hogan of Sanford, NC, Douglas (Mary Jo) Elam of Cedar Rapids, IA, Lynn (David) Korvick of Ft. Smith, AR, step sons, Rusty Belfiore of Tampa, FL, TJ (Greg Snipes) Belfiore of Orlando, FL, Rodney (Julie) Belfiore of Geneseo, grandchildren, Jonathan (Melissa) Hogan, Jennifer Hogan, Emma (Shawn Viers) Elam, Mary Elise Elam, Bobby Dent, Jessica (Chad) Treuth, Philip (Allison) Korvick, step grandchildren, Tony and Gina Belfiore, great grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Hogan, Clementine Viers and Landon Korvick, several nieces and nephews.

Charles was born October 24, 1928 in Rochester, NY the son of Frederick and Ella Wamp Elam. He earned his Associates Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Charlie was an Engineer for General Motors in the Rochester Products Branch for 41 years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and a member of Farview Golf Course in Avon. Charlie was also a longtime member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo.

No prior calling hours. His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2 PM at the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo with Rev. Dr. Nancy Lowmaster officiating. Interment will be in the Central Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden.
