Obituary of John A. Trubee

John A. Trubee, age 76, of Pittsford, passed peacefully, November 30, 2018 at his residence surrounded by love. He was predeceased by his parents, John K. Trubee and Marie Clarkson Trubee; sister, Joan Trubee Ferland.

John is survived by his children, Marie Katherine "Kate" Trubee (Bill) Gerew of Pittsford, Michael Kenney of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Lauren and Jack Gerew, Joshua and Flynn Kenney; brothers, David (Elaine) Trubee of Maine and William (Sally) Trubee of Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews.

John was born May 24, 1942 in Rumford, ME the son of John K. and Marie Clarkson Trubee. He was a proud Navy submarine veteran, loving patriarch and a long-time business owner in Scottsville. John had a strong sense of duty to God, country and family.

No prior calling hours. His Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 1 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford, 21 Church St. in Pittsford.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor John may make memorials in his name to Disabled American Veterans (dav.org) or the Boy Scouts of America (scoutingfriends.org).
