Obituary of Gale Perovich

Gale Perovich, age 56, of Geneseo, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Galeton, PA. She was predeceased by her father, Mark Perovich. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Aaron) Sweeting of Caledonia, a soon to be granddaughter, Iva Sweeting, her mother Sally (Carlin) Kludt of Galeton, PA, sisters, Joy Perovich of Conesus, Sally (John) Morris of Geneseo, brothers, Mark (Sue) Perovich of Dansville, Colonel (Sue) Perovich of Ulysses, PA, several nieces and nephews. Gale was born March 5, 1962 in Dansville, NY the daughter of Mark and Sally Perovich. She grew up on Conesus Lake and loved spending time at the famous Long Point Park. She attended Geneseo Central School and later studied Psychology at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Gale was an avid music lover who enjoyed playing the drums, guitar and singing. She always had the best vinyl albums and movies. A hint of her passions include visiting, chatting and telling stories with family and friends, especially about the van. Gale enjoyed finding a sunny patch of swimmable water, playing pool, volunteering at airshows, asking for a ride on your Harley and watching the wildlife from her porch. Gale was a genuine good person with a huge heart. She was a devoted daughter, proud loving mother, caring sister, a cool aunt and about to be the world's most wonderful grandmother. Gale was a selfless person always striving to help anyone she could in any way. Not only will she be missed, but she will remain loved by many. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 1-2:30 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Memorial Services will follow visitation at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Warplane Museum, 3489 Big Tree Lane, Geneseo, NY 14454.
