Obituary of Marilyn A. Matthes

Marilyn A. Matthes, age 86, of Geneseo, died Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Village Green Nursing Home in Leroy, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Matthes Jr. and son, Walter Matthes III.

She is survived by her son, Mark Matthes of Le Roy, daughter-in-law, Joanne Matthes of Bangor, ME, grandchildren, Nicole Matthes and Walter Matthes IV, brother, Edward Steve of Philadelphia, PA, several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was born June 25, 1932 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Edward and Vivian Crinnin Steve. She owned and operated Walt's Tavern in Geneseo with her late husband for many years.

No prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
