Dorothy "dee dee" Boyle Defendis, passed away peacefully in her sleep, May 11, 2018 in The Villages, FL. dee dee is survived by her husband, David Defendis, her sons, William (Sara) Boyle of Medina, OH, Mathew (Michelle) Boyle of Macedon, her step children, Megan (Gregory) Spinos of Macedonia, OH, Christopher (Sarah) Defendis of Westfield, IN, her sister, Peg (Robert) Centola of Buffalo, her niece, Laura (Kevin) Klansky of The Villages, FL. She is also survived by her her 4 grandchildren, Emma, Will, Caitlin and Natalie, other nieces and nephews.

dee dee was a Speech/Language Pathologist for the Rochester City School District for 28 years. She also devoted countless hours of her time volunteering at the Isaiah House, Daystar Child Care Center here in Rochester and at the Guadalupe Education Center in Naples, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Guadalupe Education Center in Naples, FL at www.guadalupecenter.org.

Interment will be held on Saturday at 2 PM at Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo, NY. A private memorial service is being  held at the family's request.
