Obituary of Charles P. Anderson, Jr.

Charles Philip Anderson, Jr. known as Brother Cyril, age 91, of the Abbey of the Genesee in Piffard, died Friday, February 2, 2018. He was predeceased by his sisters, Beverly Rawley and Marilyn Kilpatrick.

He is survived by his brother, Dwight (Ruth) Anderson of Omaha, NE, brother in law, Robert Rawley of Omaha, NE, many nieces, nephews and fellow Trappist Monks at the Abbey of the Genesee.

Brother Cyril was born February 22, 1926 in Omaha, NE the son of Charles Phillip and Vera Mae Walling Anderson Sr. He was a US Marine Corps World War II Veteran.

Visitation will be held at the Abby of the Genesee on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 5 – 7:30 PM and on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 3 AM – 9:45 AM.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10 AM at the Abbey of the Genesee. Burial will be in Abbey of the Genesee Cemetery in Piffard.
