I have just learned of the passing of Mr. Foster who was a weekly customer at the Geneseo Wegmans Sub Shop. I always looked forward to making Mr. Foster his favorite chicken salad sub every Sunday. He was the only customer that we allowed to come in prior to opening so that we could serve him. I had many conversations with Mr. Foster that were not only interesting but very meaningful to me. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile and a kind word to say to everyone he interacted with. He will be greatly missed as one of the Wegmans family members.

I will miss kidding Herbert at the 8:00am mass at St. Mary's. Years ago I kidded with him and Joyce in church and then they disappeared to Florida. What a joy it was to interrupt his prayer time when he returned to us. His smile gave comfort.
