Obituary of Penny R. Dempsey

Penny R. Dempsey, age 73, of Geneseo, formerly of Batavia and Zephyrhills, FL, died Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the Blossom Hill Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Sodus, NY.

She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Dempsey in 2007.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Richer, children, Viola "Sandy" Clements of PA, Eric House of Ontario, NY, grandchildren, Max and Cory House, Molly and Bailey Clements, Sara and Rachel Sippel, sister, Christine (Thomas) Thompson of Geneseo, brother, William (Arlene) Dempsey of Sparks, NV, sister in law, Margaret Dempsey of Batavia, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Penny was born February 2, 1944 in Rochester, NY the daughter of William and Helen Webb Dempsey Jr. She Graduated from Rush–Henrietta High School and earned her Associates Degree from Rochester Business Institute. Penny worked for the Department of Environmental Conservation in Buffalo before her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10 AM with Rev. Dr. Nancy Lowmaster officiating.
