Obituary of S. William Teresa

S. William "Bill" Teresa, age 92, of North St. in Geneseo, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia. He was predeceased by his daughters, Mariann Teresa and Linda Young. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Sally Pilato Teresa, son, William R. Teresa of Geneseo, daughter, Kathy (Mark) Yuhnke of Avon, grandchildren, Justin (Kristin) Young of Winchester, VA and Sarah (Shannon) Hahn of Bloomfield, brother, Dr. Anthony Teresa of Pittsford, son-in-law, Lester Young of UT, nieces and nephews. Bill was born March 8, 1924 in Batavia, NY the son of Anthony and Rose Gervasi Teresa. He served as a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy during World War II and was aboard the 1st ship to land on the beach at Normandy. Bill owned Teresa's Service Center in Geneseo before his retirement in 1978. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo and the Geneseo Kiwanis Club. No Prior Calling Hours.
