Obituary of Sandra M. Sawdey

Sandra M. Sawdey, age 78, of Haley Ave. in Geneseo, passed into eternal life, early morning, Monday, March 28, 2016 at her residence after a brave battle with cancer. Sandra was predeceased by her beloved "precious angel", Carrie Nicole Sawdey on May 3, 2014. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim, adoring daughters, Dawn (Bob) Peri of Geneseo, Holly Westerdahl of Webster, treasured grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan and Christian Carbone, great granddaughter, Hadley Grace, sister, Mary Kay Hartson of Dansville, brothers, Jerry (Sue) Murphy of Spencerport, Paul (Helen) Murphy, Jack (Trudy) Murphy, Mike Murphy, Ken (Joy) Murphy, Terry (Jill) Murphy all of Charleston, SC, Steven Murphy of Syracuse, brothers and sisters in law, Ron (Betty) Sawdey of Livonia, Terry (Diane) Sawdey of Groveland, special sister in law, Sheila Murphy of Rochester, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Sandra was born July 19, 1937 in Wayland, NY the daughter of William Edward and Harriet Chasey Murphy. She married her loving husband, Jim on July 16, 1960. Sandy retired from Wegmans Grocery Store in Geneseo. Friends may call Friday, April 1, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
