Obituary of Rev. Harold G. Kruger

Rev. Harold Gustav Kruger, 87 of West Seneca Circle in Geneseo died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, sons, Dr. Mark G. (Sarah) Kruger of Kasota, MN, Paul A. (Barbara) Kruger of Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Jonathan H. (Melanie) Kruger of Geneseo, grandchildren, Katelyn and Kelly Kruger of Kasota, MN, Miranda and Alexander Kruger of Geneseo, sisters Dora Runyon of Council Bluffs, IA, Ruth Erdmann of Osage, IA, Clarice Wilde of Osage, IA, Deanna Sande of St. Paul, MN, brothers, Rev. Robert Kruger of Rock Island, IL, Allen Kruger of Bolivar, MO, many nieces and nephews. He was born April 28, 1925 in Manly, Iowa the son of Alvin and Esther Walk Kruger. Harold received his Bachelors Degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and his Masters in Biblical Studies from Princeton University. Harold was the Pastor at Central Lutheran Church in Mason City, Iowa from 1954-1958 and Pastor at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fairfield, Iowa from 1958-1962. He was a Theology Professor at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI from 1962 until his retirement in 1989. Harold was an active member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Geneseo and a member of their Torch Club. No Prior Calling Hours. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 5015 Lakeville Rd. in Geneseo. Interment will be in the Grafton, IA Cemetery.
