Obituary of William C. Anderson

William Clare Anderson, DDS, MD February 18, 1932-May 15, 2012 Geneseo: Died at his home May 15, 2012 at the age of 80 after a very brave battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Florence and Clare Anderson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Barbara Hulburt Anderson, his children, Peter (Tammy) Anderson, Julie (Patrick) Eble, Kerry (Catherine) Anderson, sisters Marietta (Howard) Eklund, Lois Bemish, cherished grandchildren, Keith and Christian Anderson, Laura and Kathryn Eble, Matthew and Sarah Anderson, several nieces and nephews. Dr. Anderson graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Dentistry in 1957. He practiced orthodontics for 48 years in Syracuse, Geneseo and Dansville. Intellectually curious and determined, in 2010, he received both a Masters of Science in Orthodontics from the University at Buffalo and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Health Sciences Antigua School of Medicine, West Indies. An orthodontist by profession, Bill had a great sense of adventure, invention, and life. Traveling, fly fishing, piloting vintage WWII airplanes, and scuba diving were among his passions. Bill loved his family, He will be sorely missed. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 26th at the Big Tree Inn, 46 Main St, Geneseo from 1pm-3pm where a Memorial Service will follow at 3pm.
