Obituary of Virginia E. Brougham

Virginia Elaine Brougham, 83, of Stuyvesant Manor in Geneseo, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Robert Brougham, children, David Wade of Fort Mohave, AZ, Nancy Wade of Williamsburg, VA, Roger Wade of Cohasset, MA, grandchildren, Gillian Wade of VA, Jonathan and Victoria Wade of MA, step children, Roxanne Brougham of Rochester, Joanne Coleman of FL, David Brougham of MD, Eric Brougham of FL, Alex Brougham of Rochester, several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and nieces. She was born September 21, 1928 in Floral Park, Long Island, NY the daughter of Herman and Edna Tiemeyer Schmidt. Ginny graduated from the Brooklyn Hospital with an RN Degree in 1949. She also graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1970. Ginny worked as a Livingston County Public Health Nurse for 19 years and retired in August of 1990. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo for forty nine and one half years. Ginny was an enthusiastic bridge player and enjoyed traveling as well as gardening. No prior calling hours. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11 AM at the Central Presbyterian Church, 31 Center St. in Geneseo with Pastor Nancy Lowmaster officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Rd. North, Rochester, NY 14609.
