Obituary of Joanne C. Mistretta

Joanne Cuozzo Mistretta, 49, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her residence on Fiddler Rd. in Mt. Morris. Loving wife, mother, daughter and friend to all that knew her, she lost her long battle with cancer on September 1, 2011. She was predeceased by mother Nancy Cuozzo, grandparents, Daniel and Josephine Cuozzo, Clara and Clifford Burnette. She is survived by her husband, Terry Mistretta, son, Phillip Mistretta at home, father, Donald Cuozzo Sr. of Wadsworth, brothers, Donald (Kim) Cuozzo Jr., Gary (Tracey) Cuozzo both of Piffard, sister in law, Lisa (Mike) Flickner of Mt. Morris, brother in law, Gary Mistretta of Springwater, nieces and nephews, Morgan, Thomas, Jordan Cuozzo, and Ashlee Mistretta, special lifetime friend Brenda Cuozzo McCormick of Avon. She was born June 22, 1962 in Warsaw, NY the daughter of Donald and Nancy Burnette Cuozzo. Joanne was a graduate of York Central School and received her Associates Degree from Genesee Community College. She was a secretary at SUNY Geneseo. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 1-5 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 5, 2011 at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 46 Stanley St. in Mt. Morris. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
