Obituary of George P. Landers Sr.

George Patrick Landers Sr., 75, of Miller Hill Rd. in Arkport, formerly of York, died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. He is survived by his wife Eleanor Hoag Landers, his children, Joyce (Al) Hagan of Piffard, George (Tracy) Landers Jr. of NC, Michael (Cindy) Landers of Geneseo, James (Christine Boyd) Landers of Wadsworth, Barbara Landers of Darien Center, Pamela (Don) Reinhardt of Elba, 3 grandchildren, Joseph, Zachary and Rachel, his brother, William (Jean) Landers Jr. of Mt. Morris, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Toby. George was born May 11, 1936 in Geneseo, NY the son of William and Emma Gilbert Landers. He was employed by the Town of York Highway Department. George was also employed by the Abbey of the Genesee and Morgan Farms. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Monday, June 13, 2011 from 2-5 PM where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 5 PM with Mabel Treadwell of St. Luke's Parish officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
