Robert Brion

Obituary of Robert E. Brion

Bob passed peacefully at home Thursday, June 2, 2011. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Les and Elsie Brion. Among the survivors is his wife of 45 years, Karen. Bob loved his memories and life lessons from the U.S. Marine Corps. His Marine pride served him well, no matter where his career path led; he had a big band radio show, was a drummer in many bands, was a Livingston County Deputy Sheriff, sold appliances with his father, transformed the Colonial Inn to the Yard of Ale, and sold cars in Geneseo. For Bob, it was always about the people that he met and the stories that they would exchange. For the past six years, Bob has been a volunteer and active member of the 1941 Historical Aircraft Group Museum in Geneseo. This was a perfect fit to combine his passion for airplanes and interest in WWII history; he enjoyed the friendships made there....always great stories to share. We want to thank all of our wonderful friends that have given so much support to us in so many ways this past year; please know how much that has meant to us. Thanks, also, to everyone at the TCU at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. Lastly, Livingston County Hospice made it possible for Bob to be home for the past 11 days; we thank these new friends for this gift from the bottom of our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Livingston County Hospice, 2 Murray Hill Drive, Mt. Morris, NY, or 1941 HAG Museum, PO Box 185, Geneseo, 14454. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
