Thelma O. McDonald, 89, of Groveland Hill Rd. in Groveland, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. She is survived by her children, Pedgy (Raymond) VanBuren of Geneseo, Edward (Maxine) McDonald of Ontario, NY, Janice (James) McFollins of Batavia, Thelma (Arnold) Dimmick of Lakeville, Maureen (Jeff) Schirmer of Leicester, 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter McDonald in 1979, and was the last of the 15 Haynes siblings. She was born August 6, 1921 in Piffard, NY the daughter of Perry and Orpha Brown Haynes. Thelma was a member of the Geneseo Rebeccas and an avid bingo player. She was well known throughout the area as a distinguished homemade bread maker that combined with her always radiant smile. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 12 Noon - 3 PM where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 3 PM with Rev. Steven Cockerham of the Berean Bible Church in Groveland Station officiating. Private Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland.
