Obituary of Caroline A. Levey

Caroline A. Levey, 85, of Red School Rd. in West Sparta died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. She is survived by her husband, Gerald L. Levey of West Sparta, NY, Children, Gloria (Ray) Johnson of Lockport, NY, Patricia Levey of West Sparta, NY, grandchildren, Michael (Krista) Levey of Groveland, NY, Gerad (Jennifer) Levey of West Sparta, NY, Patrick Levey of West Sparta, NY, Gail Ann (Mike) Stalker of Lockport, NY, Jennifer Johnson of Lockport, NY, Caroline Ann (John) Balbuzoski of Cheektowaga, NY, Marco A. Malue Martins of Londrina, Brazil, great grandchildren, Alicia Balbuzoski of Cheektowaga, NY, Jonathan Balbuzoski of Cheektowaga, NY, Mackenzie Ulrop of Groveland, NY, Tristan Ulrop of Groveland, NY, Riley Ulrop of Groveland, NY, Madelyn Rose Levey of Groveland, NY, William Levey of Groveland, NY, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Orrin and Millie (Rice) Mastin, her daughter Gail Ann Levey in 1951, and her son Gerald D. Levey in 2006. She was born July 26, 1925 in Geneseo, NY. She was employed as a dinning room attendant at Craig Development Center. She retired after 37 years, on May 30, 1983. She was a member of the Mary Jamison Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Mt. Morris, NY, and a social member of the West Sparta Fire Department. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, roller skating, and roller skating dancing, crocheting, camping, playing bingo, and especially spending time up north in the St. Lawrence River area. Visitation will be held at Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo, on Saturday February 26, 2011 from 6-8 PM and Sunday February 27, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8PM. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the West Sparta United Methodist Church on Redmond Rd in West Sparta with Rev. Bert Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland.
