Obituary of Dorothy T. Alger
Dorothy T. Alger, 90, of Morgan Estates in Geneseo, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. She had previously resided on West View Crescent in Geneseo. She is survived by her beloved husband of 73 years, Clifton Alger, 3 sons, Gary (Alice) Alger of Chili, Terry (Elaine) Alger of Victor, David (Sally) Alger of Tacoma, WA, 6 grandchildren, Terilee (Eric) Shultis of East Homer, NY, Jonathan (Mary Ann) Alger of Belle Mead, NJ, Susan (Scott Altenhoff) Alger of Eugene, OR, Terry (Kari) Alger of San Antonio, TX, Dan (Charlene) Alger of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Hannah Levin of Seattle, WA, 6 great grandchildren, Katrina and Benjamin Shultis, Eleanor Alger, Sonia Altenhoff, Madison and Molly Alger, 2 sisters in law, several nieces and nephews including Roberta DiFranco of Geneseo who was very special to her. The family would like to thank the Central Presbyterian Church of Geneseo for their many kindnesses to the family, and Cliff and Dort's many friends who meant so much to both of them. Dorothy was born March 7, 1920 in Lima, NY the daughter of Charles and Frances Herkimer Townley. She was retired from the Meat Department of Star Market in Geneseo. Dorothy was a member of the Geneseo Central Presbyterian Church. No Prior Calling Hours. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 15, 1:30 PM at the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo. Interment in the Central Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden. Memorials may be made to the Central Presbyterian Church, 31 Center St., Geneseo, NY, 14454.
