Obituary of Dale W. Rice Sr.

Dale W. Rice Sr., 56, of Main St., in Atlanta, NY, died Monday, November 1, 2010 at his residence. Dale was formerly of Groveland. He is survived by his wife Linda, son, Dale Rice Jr. of Dansville, daughter, Emily Rice of Atlanta, stepdaughters, Tonya (John) D'Agostino of Rochester, Kiana (Eric) Biletzky of CA, grandson, Eric Abrams of Rochester, sister, Connie Mair of Livonia, brothers, Scott (Lisa) Rice of Groveland, Terry (Marge) Rice of Dansville, Tim (Monica) Rice of Groveland Station, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wally and Gladys Rice and his sister Dawn Rice. He was born September 17, 1954 in Batavia, NY the son of Wallace and Gladys Prior Rice. He was a graduate of Geneseo High School and Genesee Community College in Batavia. Dale was retired from Kraft Foods in Avon. He was an avid bowler and was awarded a "300" ring for bowling a perfect game. Visitation will be held at Rector-Hicks Funeral Home Inc. on Friday November 5, 2010 from 4-7 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland with Rev. Carol Harvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
