Elizabeth P. "Betty" Olmsted, 93, of Logan Rd., in Groveland, died Thursday, October 7, 2010 at her residence. She was predeceased by her husband M. Dennison "Denny" Olmsted in 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Hainsworth of Groveland, son, William Olmsted of Hammondsport, grandson, Charles (Julia) Hainsworth of Groveland, granddaughter, Elizabeth Hainsworth of Cheyenne, WY, great grandchildren, Jessica, Kyle, and Grace and Faith Hainsworth. She was born March 10, 1917 in Fredonia, NY the daughter of William and Carrie Dunmore Payne. Betty was a retired professor at the State University of New York at Geneseo. She was a member of the Geneseo United Methodist Church. In accordance with Betty's wishes, her remains were an anatomical gift to the University of Rochester Medical Center. No prior calling hours.
