Obituary of Theodore A. Bondi

Theodore A. "Ted" Bondi, 81, of Graywood Center in Geneseo, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at his residence on Conesus Lake in Geneseo. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Bondi of Geneseo, 4 daughters, LuAnn (Mark) Argenta, Tawny (Don) Livingston, Tracy (Tom) Butler, and Kathy (Rick) Vattimo, all of Geneseo, 8 grandchildren, brother, Richard (Mary) Bondi of Dansville, Peter (Donna) Bondi of Geneseo, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Saunders. He was born April 26, 1929 in Rochester, NY the son of Peter and Philomena Chiara Bondi. He was a graduate of Geneseo High School and served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Ted was a member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo and a member and officer of the Section V Athletic Association. He was a longtime coach and athletic director at Geneseo Central School, coaching the 1961 and 1971 basketball teams to Section V Championships. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Monday and Tuesday, September 13 and 14, 2010 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ted Bondi Scholarship Fund, 4050 Avon Rd., Geneseo, NY 14454.
