Obituary of Ralph L. Van Kuren

Ralph L. Van Kuren, 82, of Harpers Ferry Road in Springwater, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at Kings Daughters and Sons Home in Dansville, NY. He is survived by 2 sons, Robert Van Kuren of Fillmore, Brian Van Kuren of Malone, NY, step children, Kathie (Bruce) Radley of Henrietta, James (Doreen) Frediani of Groveland, Karen (Forrest) Rosell of Conesus, brother, Ronald Van Kuren, sister, Carol Baildy, step brother, Billy (Anne) Olsowsky, step sister, Joyce Sager, half sisters, Bonnie Rogers and Sandy Barber, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wives, Dee, Pearl and Martha Van Kuren. He was born June 22, 1928 in Bliss, NY the son of Robert and Laura Grisewood Van Kuren. Ralph was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He was retired from Letchworth State Park in Mt. Morris, NY having served them from July 1986 to July 1998. Ralph had previously owned and operated the Bliss Hotel. He was a member of the Bliss American Legion. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 4-7 PM where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10 AM with Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating. Burial will be in Lyonsburg Cemetery, Bliss, NY.
