Obituary of Ted McCauley

Theodore H. "Ted" McCauley, 73, of Groveland Hill Rd., died suddenly Monday, July 5, 2010 at his residence in Groveland. He is survived by his wife Mae McCauley, his son, Michael (Shirley) McCauley of Springwater, granddaughters, Carlene and Kayla McCauley, stepsons, Christopher (Heather) Roth of Henrietta, Darryl (Vicki) Roth of TX, 4 step grandchildren, sister, Frances (Gordon) Hawk of Groveland, several cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven McCauley. He was born February 4, 1937 in Warsaw, NY the son of Kenneth and Irene Andrews McCauley. Ted was a member of the National Guard from 1955-1963. He was a member of the Geneseo Kiwanis Club and the longtime advisor of their Circle K Club at SUNY Geneseo. Ted was an avid antique tractor collector and a life member of the NY Steam Engine Association. He was a member of the Geneseo Fire Department and the Wayland American Legion Post 402. He owned and operated Ted McCauley's General Service in Groveland for many years. No prior calling hours. Memorial Services will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 at 2 PM at the Groveland Federated Parish, Groveland Hill Rd. with Dorothy Hotchkiss officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Geneseo Kiwanis Club, P.O. Box 71, Geneseo, NY, 14454.
