My thoughts and prayers are with the Cook and Barber families. Very sorry to hear about Donna. I have very fond memmories of her as a child and will never forget her welcoming smile. As a student at Geneseo State she was one of the first administrators I met on my four year journey through college. On my very first day she was one of the first people I ran into and there she sat with her gleaming smile. I felt at home right away. I will miss your smile Sis. You were one of the good ones. God Bless.

I did not find out untill January 22 that my wonderful friend Sis passed away. I saw it in the news paper. I only wish that I knew Sis when I was a child. I some muched loved to go clean for her and visit with her. We had so many good talks. And Oh we had so much in common, you would of thought we were mother and daughter. I loved her so much that after I was not longer cleaning for her I would still stop in to visit. I loved our talks. I could tell her anything good or bad and she always seemed to understand. Her boys are very lucky that they had her for a Mom. I am so sad that I was not there for the funeral and all. I do live right down from Lakeview Cemetery and I will take flowers to her when the warm weather approaches. I will so much miss visiting with her. All my love to all the family. From SiS's friend.

Sis was a great friend when we were in school. Lost track of each other until she came back to Geneseo. The last four years Sis joined Judy, Charlotte and I on Red Hat outings thanks to Leslie urging her to go with us. She was a great girl and will be missed....

I was lucky to not only know Sissy through school but to see her in later life as we both worked at the college. She had a wonderful personality and a happy smile for everyone that never changed over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time.

Aunt Sis …a tiny little woman always giving out loads of love and care to anyone who crossed her path. She loved flags and birds, antiques and digging in the dirt, and rides to anywhere as long as someone else drove. Her door was always open, both the front and the back – friends came from all directions to visit. Nothing fancy for Aunt Sis, she liked simple and sweet, raggedy sweaters and old books to read, clay pots, trunks and a wine out of a box. Everything she touched turned into something special. Each gift given was wrapped and tied with love inside. Our family will never be the same without you. I have been so blessed with you since the day I was born.

To Donna's family...I am sorry that I cannot make it to Geneseo to pay my last respects to Donna on Wednesday. I worked with her at the College for a couple of years, and I will remember her as always so cheerful and smiling. If only we could be surrounded by people like her in our lives every day. I know it will take time, but please take comfort in the fact that soon you will be able to think of her and that smile, and that it will bring a smile to your face, too.

Donna was everything country…cows, hot chocolate, flowers, and the American Flag. A God-Loving, Patriotic American, Donna gained my respect and friendship when she willing took me under her wing and became my first friend when I starting working at the Campus fresh out of college. Her knowledge, thoughtfulness, along with her caring, and gentle characteristics were wonderful gifts she often gave me. I have been truly blessed to have had her in my life. I love you, Donna. Rest In Peace…

So many fun times with Sissy all through junior and high school. I remember riding my bike (ususally with Sandy Steele) out to the Barber home, hunting for eggs in the barn, making chocolate frosting in the kitchen and hiding in the corn field not to mention all the tuna fish salad we made. I wish I had seen her at our 50th reuion.

Dear Family of "Sis" it was a sad day when I learned of Sis's passing but also know that she is at peace. I can not begin to tell you of all the memories that have gone through my mind as the day when on. What I can say is every one was a happy wonderful recall of the time I had with Sis as we grew up and discovered new adventures in life. With thought and prayers for each of you.
