Obituary of Howard E. Kemp
Howard E. Kemp, 83, of Chestnut St. in Cuylerville, died Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. He is survived by his wife Ruth Yates Kemp, 2 sons, Arthur (Colleen) Kemp of Piffard, Keith Kemp of Cuylerville, grandchildren, Katie Kemp of Wadsworth, Patrick (Jill) Kemp of York, great granddaughter, Lana Robles, brother, Richard (Harriet) Kemp of West Sparta, sisters, Mildred Harcleroad of Cuylerville, Roberta Flynn of Dansville, sisters in law Mae MacIntyre of York, Marjorie (Neil) Harris of Wadsworth, many and nieces and nephews. Howard was born March 2, 1926 in Alfred, NY the son of John and Irene Panning Kemp. He served in the US Coast Guard during World War II. Howard was a lifetime member of the Cuylerville Fire Department and a member of the Carlton R. Boeise American Legion Post 1007 in Leicester. He was retired from the New York State Department of Transportation in Geneseo. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 1-4 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Lattime of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo officiating. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo with Military Honors.
