Obituary of Eleanore M. Teall

Eleanore M. Teall, 82, of Jekyll Island, Georgia, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at The Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, GA. Mrs. Teall had been a resident of Jekyll Island for 20 years having retired there from Geneseo with her husband George C. Teall. She is survived by 2 sons, Geoff Teall of West Palm Beach, FL, and Bruce (Lisa) Teall of Geneseo, 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Hawkins, Beth Nichols and Daniel Teall, her sister, Florence Krapf of Pittsford, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband George C. Teall, her daughter Sandra J. Teall, and her brother William K. Minion. She was born May 8, 1927 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to the late Dr. and Mrs. Stephen H. Minion. Mrs. Teall was a wife and mother who loved tennis, skiing, and all outdoor activities. Mrs. Teall was a Past President of the Association for the Preservation of Geneseo, a former board member of the Jekyll Island Citizens Association, and also served with the Livingston County Visiting Nurses Association. She was a member of the Jekyll Island Garden Club as well as the Jacksonville Symphony Group. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 4-7 PM. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 23 Main St. in Geneseo with Rev. Mark Lattime officiating.
