Shelly Rae Cofield Coveny, 50, of Center St. in Geneseo, died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Teresa House Hospice in Geneseo, NY. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Coveny of Geneseo, her father, John Cofield of Warsaw, brothers, Randy (Linda) Cofield of Geneseo, Mark (Shari) Cofield of Warsaw, sister, Laurie (Marty Truax) Snyder of Nunda, nieces, Krista (Joseph) Benson of Geneseo, Renee Cofield of Geneseo, Heidi (Matt Walker) Snyder of Henrietta, nephew, Nicholas Snyder of Nunda, great niece, Makena Benson of Geneseo, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Harvey Cofield. She was born November 21, 1958 in Warsaw, NY the daughter of John and Joyce Harvey Cofield. Shelly was the Sales Representative for the Livingston County News in Geneseo. She was the former manager of the Village Bootery on Main St. in Geneseo and was a member of the Geneseo Bunco Babes. She was a member of the Geneseo Uptown Merchants Association. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Saturday, May 23, 2009 from 3-7 PM. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 23 Main St. in Geneseo with Rev. Mark Lattime of St. Michael's Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in the Warsaw Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Teresa House, 21 Highland Rd., Geneseo, NY, 14454.
