Obituary of Gene A. Chichester
Gene A. Chichester, 66, of York Rd. in Leicester, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife Esther Chichester, 2 sons, Keith (Melissa) Chichester of Nashville, TN, Gene (Kelly) Chichester of Hemlock, 2 step daughters, Shirley (Keith) Stein of Mill Hall, PA, Rosemary (Dave) Schaub of York, his mother, Mildred Chichester of York, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Maxine (Tom) Flint of Fowlerville, Roland (Katie) Chichester of SC, Carl (Helen) Chichester of Cuylerville, Sharon (Steve) Barnhart of York, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Elwood "Jake" Chichester.
Gene was born May 13, 1943 in Rochester, NY the son of Elwood and Mildred Slocum Chichester. He was a member, Past Chief, and Ambulance Captain of the Cuylerville Fire Department, member of the AKZO Nobel Mine Rescue Team, Scout Leader and Little League Baseball Coach.
Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Friday from 2-4, 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 2-4, 7-9 PM where Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Metz of the Hemlock United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Leicester Cemetery.
