Obituary of William H. Curry

William H. "Hutch" Curry Sr., 78, of East South St. in Geneseo, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Pauline, children, William "Butch"(Cate) Curry Jr. of Geneseo, John (Melinda) Curry Sr. of Geneseo, Jamie (Joyce) Curry of Ocala, FL, Jessie (Chuck) Aten of Groveland, grandchildren, Jason and Nate Curry, Jeff (Sherry) and Jody Curry, Chelsey and Charles Aten II, great grandchildren, Taylor and Morgan Curry, special friend, Annie Farruggia of Geneseo, sister, Peggy (Herb) Conklin of Honeoye Falls, brother in law, Chuck Kruger of Wadsworth, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson John Curry Jr., and his sister Mary Ellen Kruger. He was born October 13, 1930 in Rochester the son of Walter and Margaret Hutchinson Curry. Hutch was a retired federal technician for the CSMS-C NY National Guard in Rochester. He was also a longtime employee of Geneseo Collision. He was a US Army Veteran and was an active member of the Geneseo American Legion Post 271 and their Military Honor Guard. Hutch was also a charter member of the Geneseo Warplane Museum. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home on Friday March 13, 2009 from 4-7 PM where Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Lawrence Mothersell officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo. Memorials may be made to V.F.W. Post # 5005, PO Box 221, Geneseo, NY, 14454 or the charity of one's choice.
