My family and I recall Dr. Fausold as I grew up in Geneseo and was aquainted with his son, Sam. I actually took a course from the professor as a student at S.U.N.Y. and I used to ride the bus with Sam everyday home from school when I attended Geneseo Central. I send deepest sympathy to the family. Sincerely, Andrew M. Quick

Martin was an inspiration for me. He was a true gentleman and so interested in the welfare of others. He gave what he could and then some. The love of his life were his children and their children. We spoke often of them in the past few years. He fought through personal set backs and continued with a great enthusiasm for more of what life offered. He wanted life to be good for everyone and championed scholarship and tolerance. I miss him.

I first met Martin when he was a groomsman in our wedding with his daughter Marti serving as one of the flower girls. What I remember fondly about Martin is his zest for living, his curiosity about people and events and his willingness to go out of his way to help people. He was devoted to family--I remember his enjoyment of vacationing in Ocean City NJ--his wonderful sense of humor, and the way he loved to get into discussions with anyone who would debate. He was definitely a man who fits the phrase "He never met a stranger." He was also a man of whom it can be said that he left the world a better and more intersting place. My love to Sherry, Cindy and Marti, and the deepest condolences.
Love, Aunt Jeanne

Uncle Martin always cared deeply about his extended family. He was among the very first to travel to Massachusetts to visit Mei when she came home from China. He shared freely his wisdom and knowledge and will be greatly missed.
