Thomas G. Washington, 87, a resident of the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, died there Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Mr. Washington was a longtime Greigsville resident having resided on Virginia Ave. prior to his entry into the nursing home in 2000. He is survived by his children Edna(William) Blake of Rochester, Gloria(Clyde) Stokes of Granbury, TX, Thomas(Lisa) Washington of Kendall, William(Linda) Washington of Piffard, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brothers, sisters and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife Esther Washington in 1999. He was born August 28, 1920 in York, NY the son of George and Edna Wise Washington. Tom served in the US Navy during World War II. He was retired from the International Salt Mine in Retsof. No prior calling hours. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
